WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

Over the past couple of weeks, I've been writing a four track EP with my bandmate, Caitlin. We've put a lot of time and effort into writing these tracks, and exploring the sound we want to produce with our new EP. So far so good, the tracks sound nice and we're happy bunnies. The plan was to write this EP and record it professionally in November. But life happened, money issues were raised and we were left in a position of not knowing what to do.

Initially, it was a giant stress. But we had to sit back, think about the situation and resolve it. There's no use stressing over things and worrying about what's going to happen in the future, you've got to come up with a solution to the problem. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not perfect at this! Ask anyone close to me, especially R, and they'll tell you I'm the biggest stress-head they've ever met. It's through experiencing these situations that I've become better at taking a step back and resolving them. Life is tough, and it throws things at you that you aren't always prepared for, no matter how many times you've faced a similar problem. This is what friends and family are for, they will always be there to listen to your worries and give you possible solutions, no matter how big or small your issue is. And sometimes, you've just got to take some time out.

So for now, we're making back-up plans and contacting other people to work with. We've done all we can and now have to wait for responses. We know it'll all work out because, to be honest, it always does. It might not be the way you expected or planned for, but I've found it usually turns out for the best. So don't worry, and don't stress. Life doesn't happen the way you expect it to; enjoy the ride and make the most of the twists and turns. It's what makes life interesting.
